In questi giorni di passaggio dall’ora legale all’ora solare, si vede sempre più spesso nei vari forum chiedere come cambiare orario, l’orologio di sistema insomma.

Installare OpenOffice 3.0 su Slackware
Installare la nuova versione di OpenOffice sulla Slackware -current tramite pacchetto, così da poter poi gestire con i tool della Slackware, è cosa semplicissima grazie allo SlackBuild di Robbie Workman presente in slackbuilds.org

Aggiornato KDE alla versione 4.1.2, anche se rimane nel ramo testing e le voci fanno intuire che la prossima versione stable sarà sempre con KDE3, cosa secondo me giusta, visto la mancanza di applicazioni importanti in KDE4.
Nel ramo -current normale vediamo l’aggiornamento di udev che contiene nuovamente il device per ppp, la cui mancanza aveva creato qualche problema ad alcuni utenti.

Al primo boot dopo l’aggiornamento, senza aver cambiato modificato i file in /etc/rc.d, non riconosceva più l’HD
Ricordarsi di controllare tutti i file *.new della directory /etc, sopratutto in /etc/rc.d, dopo aver effettuato l’aggiornamento. Sembra che con il vecchio rc.udev non crei i device, attenzione.
