Università di Glasgow e Slackware

Dal blog di Robby Workman, apprendo che la facoltà di Fisica dell’Università di Glasgow è passata a Slackware per il suo “log-in server”.
Curioso leggere le motivazioni che hanno portato a questa scelta.
E tu cosa stai aspettando a migrare a Slackware? 
Slackware is one of the best user supported distributions when it comes to extra packages and scripts - so it wasn't a big deal to get the server in shape for testing.Immagino si riferiscano a slackbuilds.org per gli script, ma per i pacchetti? linuxpackages o slacky?
